GUIDE to Root and unroot the LeEco (Letv) Le 1s (Le X507) without PC.

Warning: All rooting should be the responsibility of the user and we at Guiding Tech are only informing you of the method to do it after testing it ourselves.

STEPS TO ROOT
Step 1: Download and install theKingRoot app on your phone. The app is not available from Play Store and you will have to manually download the APK file . Don’t worry if you don’t have unknown sources enables, EUI is intelligent enough to ask you that while you are installing the app.
Step 2: Reboot your phone and the launch the KingRoot app. The app will analyze your phone and then give you a brief insight to whether a root method is available or not. Don’t go on what you see on that screen and continue with the root.
Step 3: The app will look for exploits and take some time to root the device. It might take some time for the app to reach 100% and your phone might also reboot once. If that’s the case, don’t forget to run KingRoot again after the reboot.
Step 4: Once the process is 100% complete you will get the message that the phone is now rooted and believe it or not, that’s about it. You will be able to run rooted apps and manage system files on your device easily.

The KingRoot app will be your Super SU here using which you can manage root access of another app. KingRoot will install another third-party app called Purify and it’s basically an Android optimizer. The app is not necessary for the root to function and can be removed is removed. Apart from that, you will get auto-run optimizer tool in KingRoot to manage what apps start while your system boots.

Unroot Le 1s

If you ever wish to unroot the Le 1s, it can be done using the KingRoot app itself. Tap on the 3-dot menu to open up settings and there you will find the option to uninstall the app. Once you uninstall the app, it will also remove the root access and neutralize any changes that you made using the KingRoot app. The device will reboot once and you will have your unrooted phone.

So that was how you can easily root and unroot your Le 1s. However, I would like to remind you that I am not sure about the OTA updates and warranty terms and conditions. You will have to just wait and watch. But as the root process is completely irreversible, I don’t see a point why you should not try it.
